Posting Details: We are hiring a contingent / PRN workforce to assist with covering shifts at our Behavioral Health Urgent Care.
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer or designee, performs evaluations, diagnoses, ongoing assessments, and treatment of individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, serious emotional disturbance, and/or developmental disabilities. Identifies client needs, makes treatment plans and referrals, and provides medication management and psycho-educational support in collaboration with existing medical staff and program; performs related work as required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree. Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program. Fully licensed in the State of Michigan as a Physician Assistant, has Michigan Controlled Substance License, Current MCCPA certification. Three (3) years' experience working as a Certified Physician Assistant AND three (3) years clinical experience working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness and/or developmental disabilities, including assessment, medication management, and crisis intervention in the outpatient or inpatient setting.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have a valid Michigan driver's license, current automobile insurance, and the use of a vehicle during work hours.
PREFERENCES: Experience working as a certified Physician Assistant under a psychiatrist
Essential Physical Demands: - Vision - Position requires the ability to visually assess details at both near and far distances, as well as to perceive depth and spatial relationships with or without reasonable accommodations.

- Lifting, Standing, and Walking With or Without Reasonable Accommodations:
- Position requires the ability to lift up to 35lbs on an occasional basis
- Position requires the ability to regularly stand for extended periods of time
- Position requires the ability to walk at a minimum of 35% up to a maximum of 65%
- Position will require the ability to occasionally stoop, bend, or reach to perform work tasks with or without reasonable accommodation
- Position must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity, including the use of hands and fingers for handling, grasping, typing, writing, or operating equipment with or without reasonable accommodation.
