The UPS Store is a privately owned franchise and a subsidiary of United Parcel Service, which provides shipping, shredding, printing, faxing, passport photos, personal and business mailboxes, and notary services.
We are looking for a driven retail store manager who is responsible for all aspects of daily operations. The store manager delivers world-class customer service to all retail customers by receiving and processing packages for courier shipment and operating copiers, fax machines, binding equipment, laminating machines, and point-of-sale devices.
The ideal candidate has previous retail management experience, strong computer and internet skills, a college degree, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, and a professional appearance. He or she must be a fast learner who tries to learn all aspects of the business in the shortest possible time. Previous print production experience, notary, or shipping experience is a huge plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Delivers outstanding customer service to customers and telephone inquiries
Continuously practices good listening skills with customers, UPS Store team members, and leadership
Takes ownership of the customer’s shipping needs and offers viable solutions
Takes action to learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends
Operates all equipment, software, and devices expertly and is willing to teach others
Maintains a clean, organized, and safe working environment
Performs other duties as assigned
Flexible schedule: hours of operation Monday through Friday 8:00am-7:00pm, Saturday 10:00am-5:00pm, Sunday 10:00am-3:00pm
Opening or closing store procedures
Cleaning/upkeep of the store to include inventory management
Processing claims
Maintaining postal mail services
Training compliance
The Center Manager is ultimately accountable for profit/loss, continuous improvement, service delivery levels, personnel management, and business development.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree (May be waived with 2+ years’ experience in The UPS Store, Fed-Ex, Kinkos, or any shipping / quick print shops)
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites * Notary certification required (will provide training if not state-certified)
2+ years of verifiable retail store management experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to pass a background check
Able to lift 40+ pounds
