Who Are We Looking For?

The Engineering team is seeking a Staff level DevOps Engineer, who will be effectively contributing to the vision and execution of projects related to Infrastructure, Security, Automation, and Site Reliability. 

We aim to follow Agile best practices with a focus on empowering full stack development teams, so that they can own a vertical slice of the product, and are empowered to make decisions and roadmap out a section of the product and business.

Requirements

The Necessities


  • Extensive professional experience in cloud infrastructure deployment and systems administration.

  • Proficiency in one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl, or Bash).

  • Experience administering Linux or Unix environments.

  • Proven experience with Docker containerization, including building, deployment, and orchestration.

  • Experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code provisioning.

  • Configuration Management tools such as Salt, Ansible, or Puppet.

  • Demonstrated experience configuring, administering, and troubleshooting firewalls and VPN solutions.

  • Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and alerting best practices to maintain system reliability.

  • Comprehensive understanding of TCP/IP networking, including subnetting, DHCP, DNS, and routing.

  • Familiarity with best practices in:


    • Cybersecurity

    • Micro-services

    • SRE (e.g. postmortems, incident management, toil reduction, etc.)

    • SOC compliance

The Extras


  • PostgreSQL database administration skills, including performance tuning and access control.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools, including Jenkins, and experience with release administration.

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced, growing startup environment.

The expected salary range for this position is $150K-175K for New York, $142.5K-166.25 for Austin & King of Prussia
