Job Description

Overview

We are looking for a Project Manager with a solid background in electrical engineering or construction project delivery—especially someone comfortable reading and working with electrical diagrams, load sheets, riser diagrams, and single-line schematics. You’ll coordinate across engineering, permitting, construction, and operations teams to ensure successful deployment of EV charging stations.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project management of EV charger installation projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Review and interpret electrical drawings, load calculations, riser diagrams, and wiring schematics to support design and construction planning.
• Coordinate with electricians, engineers, utility providers, and permitting authorities.
• Manage construction schedules, contractor activities, procurement, and site inspections.
• Facilitate technical reviews and approvals for project designs and ensure compliance with local codes and standards
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to resolve technical issues related to power distribution and site layout.
• Monitor and report on project performance metrics, timelines, risks, and budgets.
• Support utility interconnection and load assessment documentation.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle across the state of Michigan.

Experience

• Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
• 1-3 years of experience in project management, preferably within the EV, electrical contracting, or renewable energy sector.
• Proficiency in interpreting electrical plans, riser diagrams, panel schedules, and load sheets .
• Familiarity with utility coordination, permitting, and code compliance processes.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Strong proficiency in MS Project, Excel, AutoCAD, and/or other relevant project and design software.
• PMP certification (asset, not required).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to visit job sites as needed.
• Must have undertaking of electrical service equipment
• Candidate must be residing in Michigan, US
