Job Description

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform diversified duties to analyze, troubleshoot, repair and test a variety of electromechanical products. Must be able to work from and read print specifications, test schematics, technical manuals as well as written/verbal instructions or other pertinent documentation. Must be able to use, set-up, troubleshoot and repair, as required a variety of assembly and test equipment including scales, verniers, micrometer, torque gauges, continuity light, power supply, multimeter, oscilloscope, hypot, and other specified equipment. Must be able to initiate and implement corrective action as needed.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze, repair and test returned products.
  • Initiate and implement corrective action as required.
  • Select and set-up appropriate assembly and test fixtures and/or equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or as may be necessary.
  • Ensure good quality and maintain a clean and safe work area at all times.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assemble electromechanical products as needed.
  • Perform final acceptance of operational testing on electrically operated devices as needed.
  • Inspect/test subassemblies and finished goods as required.


DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school plus specialized training in the use of testing devices and measuring tools:
    • Example: Micrometers, verniers, coordinate measuring machine, comparator, Rockwell hardness tester, tread, pin and torque gauges, power supplies, dielectric, multimeters, scales, continuity tester, hypot, power supplies, oscilloscope, and ohmeter plus one to three years of relevant experience.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Required to sit, stand, and bend.
  • Must be capable of lifting 5 – 25 lbs. on a continuous basis.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Combination of Manufacturing and Office environment.
  • Regular exposure to noise, dust, heat, cold and odors.
