We are seeking an  experienced Multi-Trade Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for a highly skilled, versatile tradesperson who is comfortable both in the field and in front of clients. The right candidate will have a proven track record in multiple trades, be able to support estimating and planning for projects, and execute work to the highest standards.

In addition to trade work, this individual will collaborate directly with clients, helping scope projects, estimate materials, and put together execution plans. Training will be provided to master our in-house resurfacing process for tubs, tile, and countertops.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of skilled trades, including:

  • Framing and carpentry

  • Tile installation and repair

  • Drywall hanging, taping, and finishing (tape/mud/texture)

  • Interior and exterior painting

• Support project estimation by identifying material needs and assisting with take-offs.

• Partner with the operations team to build practical plans for project execution.

• Interact with clients professionally, providing insight and confidence throughout project planning and delivery.

• Learn and perform resurfacing of tubs, tile, and countertops (training provided).

• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional job site at all times.

• Uphold Slate Construction Group’s standards of quality, precision, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience across multiple trades (framing, drywall, tile, paint, etc.).

• Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality finishes.

• Ability to read plans, take measurements, and assist with accurate estimates.

• Professional communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.

• Willingness to learn specialized resurfacing techniques.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

• Performance reviewed at 90 days

• Once training is successfully completed, you’ll be provided:

  • A company van

  • Your own professional refinishing equipment

  • Tools
