Lark Hospitality is seeking a highly qualified Director of Marketing to guide and execute comprehensive marketing and advertising strategies that drive revenue growth across our North American boutique hotel portfolio. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on campaign management, requiring someone who can balance big-picture thinking with detailed execution while leading a talented marketing team.

Location: Only considering applicants from the Boston or New England areas. You will primarily work REMOTE, but you must be local for team meetings and property visits.

Salary: $105,000 -$125,000 USD

Reports to: Vice President of Marketing

Travel: Occasional travel to properties or for meetings in the US and Mexico

Compensation:

$105,000 -$125,000 USD yearly

Responsibilities:

Strategic Marketing Leadership

  • Develop and execute annual and quarterly marketing and advertising plans for all hotels, restaurants, and properties you oversee in close collaboration with regional and property operations managers
  • Collaborate with revenue management and operations teams to create and optimize specials, packages, promotions, and campaigns based on market demand and revenue objectives
  • Monitor hotel supply, pricing, occupancy, and regional demand trends to trigger targeted campaigns and adjust marketing budgets and strategic planning as needed

Campaign Management & Optimization

  • Co-manage all agency billing and partnerships alongside the VP and marketing solutions teams
  • Plan and manage marketing campaigns, special offers, and promotions through the paid, owned, and earned marketing solutions teams
  • Work closely with revenue management to enhance and optimize OTA (Online Travel Agency) listings and advertising presence with the goal of decreasing OTA reliance and increasing direct bookings

Technology & Analytics

  • Support the development and implementation of the marketing technology stack and systems in partnership with the VP of Marketing
  • Provide comprehensive reporting and analysis to executive leadership, clearly communicating results and identifying growth opportunities
  • Leverage property management systems, booking engine, revenue platforms, adtech, CRM, and analytics platforms to drive data-informed decisions and reporting

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead and mentor department team members to ensure consistent, high-quality content delivery and campaign execution
  • Oversee local field marketing, advertising, and promotional efforts in collaboration with property managers
  • Foster a collaborative environment that drives innovation and results

  • Technology Proficiency: Expert-level skills in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and marketing technology platforms
  • Industry Knowledge: Current understanding of hospitality industry trends, marketing technologies, and advertising platforms
  • Results-Oriented: Ability to translate strategies into marketing programs and execute them quickly and efficiently to drive top-line property revenues

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Analytics, Business, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing with a focus on multichannel marketing and demand generation
  • Proven experience in hotel, hospitality, or real estate marketing and sales
  • Track record of successfully managing teams of subject matter experts in paid, owned, and earned media
  • Experience working with property management systems, revenue platforms, adtech, and analytics platforms
  • Agency management experience directing external agencies and specialists, ensuring performance and accountability
  • Must be legally authorized to work in your country of residence
