Currently Hiring Concrete and General Laborers

Summary

Building structures from concrete materials and ensure that concrete is poured correctly. Prepare the site by setting up the forms in which concrete is poured to create walls, structures, pillars, and walkways. General Laborer assisting Electrical Team in the Review of electrical designs with State and NEC requirements. Pulls cable and installs electrical equipment. Supervises subcontractors and ensuring proper methods and practices.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Pour, level, and smooth concrete for surfaces such as roads, curbs, floors, and sidewalks
2. Duties may include cutting expansion joints with a power saw, aligning forms to desired depth and pitch, directing the casting of concrete, preparing and cleaning surface areas, and completing moldings using a variety of hand-held and power tools.
3. Assist in the Installation of Electrical equipment and monitors performance of installed electrical equipment for hazards, adjustments, or replacement.
4. Assists in Repairs, installs, replaces, and tests electrical circuits, equipment, and appliances using appropriate tools and testing instruments.
5. Assists Troubleshoots and repairs primary distribution system malfunctions such as ground fault tracing and cable replacement.
6. Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
7. Reads electrical panel schedules and schematic plan sets.

Minimum Job Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; at least 1 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

• Basic Knowledge of electrical systems
• Ability to use appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment to repair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits, equipment and appliances.
• Ability to read commercial electrical plans Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
• Ability to install lighting fixtures, generators, circuit breakers, and transformers.

Conditions of Employment

• Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
• Possession of a valid Florida driver's license is a requirement for this job.
• Must pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Test
• Must demonstrate eligibility to work in U.S.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

• Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds.
• Work environment involves exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of protective equipment.
• Working outdoors on and around roadways, under bridges, and in active construction zones.
