Position Description: We’re growing rapidly and CGI is seeking a Business Analyst with Trading platform experience. The role involves identifying and defining the business needs of clients and stakeholders and helping determine solutions to meet those needs or resolve problems. This work is typically within a specific business area and may be part of an IT project development environment or an individual contributor at the business interface. Responsibilities Work with business and technical teams to understand and translate requirements for trading systems and platforms. Assist with troubleshooting and issue resolution across development, support, and technical business users. Serve as a subject matter expert for trading systems initiatives. Communicate effectively with business, development, QA, infrastructure, and production support teams. Analyse and map RFQ, order, and trade lifecycles to help formulate solutions that improve quality and efficiency across trading systems. Provide hands-on support for delivering scalable algorithmic trading technology in a compliant and flexible manner; familiarity with algo regulation, audit, and compliance (e.g., MiFID II and RTS6) is highly desirable. Required Qualifications / Key Skills and Experience Knowledge of all major global futures exchanges and the full exchange-traded derivatives trade lifecycle. Minimum 8 years’ experience in Commodity Trading & Price Risk Management or Capital Markets / Investment Banks. Knowledge of market data providers (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv) and liquidity aggregation platforms. Understanding of financial regulations such as MiFID II, EMIR, and FCA guidelines. Experience with Third Party Networks and EMS/OMS software vendors (e.g., TT, NYFIX, Bloomberg, TradingScreen). Experience in Windows and Linux operating systems; experience with instrument static data and market data systems. Experience in analysing and implementing regulatory initiatives (e.g., MiFID II, MAD/MAR) and solid FIX engineering background. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to analyze complex data sets and propose innovative solutions. Understanding of trading lifecycle including order capture and execution, allocation workflow, settlement, and compliance requirements. Experience with application support and vendor management; strong experience in exchange certification and deployment/support of applications. Strong technical skills in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, C#, SQL) and experience with messaging systems and debugging network protocols. Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills to interact with traders, developers, and stakeholders. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure trading environment. Proactive, self-motivated, and flexible with a positive attitude. Ability to work under demanding deadlines with changing priorities in a trading room environment. Compensation and Benefits Compensation range (U.S.): $83,800.00 – $154,300.00.
